Cancer Wellness House — Join a volunteer committee to help develop and execute the 13th annual Survivors at the Summit event. This is a six-month commitment, two to three times per month.

Head Start Salt Lake CAP — Classroom volunteers are needed to help children explore the world of art, music, science, dramatic play, outdoors, blocks and more. Times and schedules vary, with 70 sites to choose from.

Salt Lake City Arts Council — Volunteers are needed for the 25th annual Living Traditions Festival, a celebration of Salt Lake's folk and ethnic Arts. Volunteers are needed May 19-24 in three-hour shifts.

Davis County Fair — Volunteers are needed to work in the kid zones, main stage, information booth, ticketed events and more. Volunteers will receive a parking pass, fair T-shirt and a meal coupon for each three- to four-hour shift.

Salt Lake County Aging Services Healthy Aging Program — Outgoing community outreach volunteers are needed to distribute marketing materials to places such as libraries, churches and community centers. Volunteers also may do presentations about healthy aging program workshops at social and professional gatherings.

The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital — Friendly gift-shop volunteers are needed at the newly remodeled hospital. A weekly commitment is required for six months, working four-hour shifts weekdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Other opportunities are available with surgery waiting and lobby information.
