OREM — An Orem man was arrested Friday when his disguise failed to fool a Utah County sheriff's deputy.

The deputy went to an Orem home to question the man, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants and had missed a March court date, according to an affidavit filed in 4th District Court.

The man was wearing a wig to conceal his identity and also handed a fake ID to the deputy, the affidavit states.

The deputy asked the man's girlfriend, sitting three feet away, if she knew where he was and she "stated that she did not know and had not seen him for some time," according to the affidavit. His sister also denied knowing his whereabouts.
