Author Mellanie True Hills will discuss her experiences as a survivor of atrial fibrillation on Wednesday, May 19, at 6 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Public Library, 210 E. 400 South. The public is invited to the free event, which will include a brief presentation on new treatment options for atrial fibrillation by Dr. Nassir F. Marrouche, executive director of the University of Utah's Comprehensive Arryhthymia Research & Management Center (CARMA). Atrial fibrillation is a heart rhythm disorder that affects more than 3.5 million Americans and causes more than 66,000 deaths a year.
