Why Bennett was ousted

SHARE Why Bennett was ousted

There is so much to respond to in Marjorie Cortez's column (May 11). I hardly know where to begin. But I'll do my best.

Sen. Bob Bennett wasn't being blamed by the delegates for a sluggish economy. I believe their main concerns were his vote for the bank bailout and working on a health care bill with many of the features of Obamacare.

Yes, the "tribe" spoke and were bent on throwing Bennett out, just as the Democrats were bent on throwing out George W. Bush.

A "throw the rascals out uprising"?

This was "a group of delegates elected in caucuses to have a say in who will run for senator in November."
