OGDEN — Jan Winniford, vice president for student affairs at Weber State University, was recently honored as a "Pillar of the Profession" by the National Association of Student Affairs Administrators.
The award recognizes individuals of professional distinction who have served as leaders, teachers and scholars in student affairs and in their community.
The award also honors individuals who have held leadership positions and provided dedicated service to the national association. A gift of $2,000 will be made in Winniford's name to the association's foundation for continued funding of research and scholarships.
Winniford has served as vice president at WSU since 2006.
