Marjorie Lambert Ferry, age 88, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in St. George.She was born December 23, 1921 in Riverton, Utah as the second child of Clara Eileen Bath and Craig Young Lambert. She lived and worked most of her life in Salt Lake City. She attended Granite High School and comptometer school. She was an accurate, valued bookkeeper who excelled on the comptometer. As young adults, she and her sister, Marian, loved to roller skate and perform at the roller rink in Salt Lake. She was a member of the LDS Church. She married Samuel Arnold Ferry in 1955, later divorced. As a gifted seamstress, she sewed many beautiful clothes for her family. She also made many quilts for nieces and nephews. With a kind heart, she loved her mother, siblings, nieces and nephews, and always gave generously of her means, time, and talents. She loved gathering family together for good food and lots of fun.
She will be missed by her brother Lawrence (Jeanine), her sister Linda (Lynn) Melville, her sister-in-law Marilyn Lambert, and 23 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, and siblings: Eileen, Clara, Marian Reed, Graydon, and Gay Smith.
Graveside services will be held at the Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 E Bengal Blvd (7800 So) on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
