After the ousting of Sen. Bob Bennett and other moderate Republicans at the state convention earlier this month, one thing has become very clear: the Republican Party needs to return to its roots. Enough is enough. Gone are the moderate voices of Richard Nixon, Dwight Eisenhower, Earl Warren, Barry Goldwater, Fiorello La Guardia and Thomas E. Dewey. The party needs to focus on true fiscal conservatism and personal freedom, not on bailing out Wall Street and imposing moral values.
