I went to see a movie at Jordan Commons the other day. The ticket-seller said that some of their patrons were actually upset about the following sign: "For the comfort of our guests, no children under 5 are admitted to R-rated films after 6 p.m."
Seriously?
There are so many things wrong with this sign that it staggers the imagination. What parent, guardian or sibling would take a small child to an R-rated film, regardless of the time of day? Do they think that the child will not be affected by the gore, violence, language, sex and nudity?
Get a clue, people. Kids are smarter and more aware than you think. I think taking a child to see an R-rated film qualifies as abuse and neglect.
