Ronnie Lee Gardner has asked the high court in Utah to spare his life and grant a new trial. What has made Utah's legal system so slow to administer justice for the victims' families? Gardner has been on death row for more than 25 years. The state of Utah needs to speed up the endless appeals and delays in the legal system. Texas certainly has found a way to speed up the process. Gardner's attorneys have billed the state substantial fees over the years to defend this convicted killer who didn't show his victims any mercy. Now, Gardner wants a new trial. He is making a mockery of the legal process while his attorneys continue to line their pockets at taxpayers' expense.
