Page A15 of the June 3 edition of Deseret News should be required reading for all responsible citizens. All three commentaries are "right on"!

Lois Collins tells how "PC" now applies to images also. BP's order to not allow cleanup crews to wear respiratory protection because it "looks scary" is ridiculous. As if the streaming pictures of millions of barrels of oil spilling into the Gulf is not scary enough.

Then congratulations to George Will for giving up his "middle road" position to write about the "evolution" of our Constitution toward a "maturing society." He mentions what Woodrow Wilson started and FDR projected into our current politics of big government and increased entitlements. What will limit that philosophy? Self-responsibility.

And Thomas Sowell suggests that graduating college students should be told to replace "public service" with the desire to be of use to their fellow men, by asking what they want. He used Sam Walton and Wal-Mart as an example of working capitalism.
