PLEASANT GROVE — After five years as an assistant and seven years as head coach of the Pleasant Grove Vikings baseball team, Ryan Hall has decided to take a break.
Hall told Pleasant Grove administrators over the weekend that he's resigning from his post as the Vikings baseball coach so he can spend more time with his family. He informed his players of his decision Monday afternoon.
Hall took over Pleasant Grove's coaching job from Jon Hoover in the spring of 2003. This past season the Vikings went 19-7 and finished second in Region 4 behind eventual state champion Lone Peak.
Because Hall will remain at Pleasant Grove High teaching special education and physical education, administrators are looking to fill a coach-only position. Interested applicants should apply at www.alpine.k12.ut.us and can call Matt Norman or Nate Johnston 801-610-8170 ext. 751 or 190, for more information. Closing date on the job is June 15."
