OREM (AP) — Former TV pitchman Dell "Super Dell" Schanze has been found guilty of misdemeanor reckless driving and seat-belt infractions from a 2008 traffic stop.
Schanze was convicted of the charges in justice court and spent eight days in jail. He appealed to state district court, where he was convicted again on Monday.
The 40-year-old was sentenced to six months in jail with credit for time served. The rest of the sentence was suspended, and Schanze was ordered to pay a $590 fine.
Police said Schanze was weaving in the road Aug. 18, 2008, with children in his car.
