In this address to BYU students in 1992, Elder Marvin J. Ashton shares his testimony of God's constant concern and care for his children.
"I bear witness that God will never leave us ... He wants to help us be our best. He is there, loves us, and will touch our souls in a very special way if we just realize He is always there for us," Elder Ashton says.
Elder Ashton also answers common questions about prayer, the sacred way in which God's children communicate with him.
"If we know that He is there, that He loves us, and that He is our advocate, why do we pray? Individuals pray for different reasons, but the primary purpose of prayer is to attune ourselves to our Heavenly Father so we can receive light and truth," he says.
