PROVO — Starting next week, the Provo City Council will combine its biweekly work session and study session into a single meeting.
Council Chairwoman Midge Johnson said the move will reduce redundancy and make all of the council's deliberations available to the public on video.
In the past, council members would meet in a three- to four-hour work session, then move to a two-hour study session before adjourning to the 7 p.m. regular council session, which could run for more than three hours. The work session was not televised or made available on the city website.
