Recipe-filled blogs are such a fun and tasty resource. And I often get hungry perusing recipes and viewing photos of delicious-looking results. This week I found a bunch of blogs that featured recipes that were the "best" somehow. Are they truly the best cake/brownies/summer dessert/pizza/banana bread you will ever eat? There's only one way to find out!

Chocolate cake: "This is by far my most favorite chocolate cake. I'm not a huge cake eater, but this is pure delight." In this blogger's opinion, this is "the BEST chocolate cake you will EVER eat!" And if the all-caps and the "pure delight" doesn't convince you, maybe the recipe itself will.

Summer dessert: With mini cakes, orange/vanilla ice cream and "little orange squiggles (that) are amazingly awesome," this blogger proclaims this to be the "Best Summer Dessert EVER!" Plus, it looks easy. Check it out!

Pizza recipe: OK, this may not be the "best" pizza, only "The Ultimate Pizza." It actually doesn't use sauce, instead opting for a cheesy bottom layer. Sounds intriguing!

Fruit freeze: I had to grab a recipe from the blog "Our Best Bites" and chose this delicious-looking, healthy and fresh "Creamy Fruit Freeze." And guess what? "You do not need an ice cream maker to make this! It's super easy, and a little more rich and elegant than a sorbet, but easier and lighter than an ice cream." Yum!

Yellow cake: Blogs share recipes all the time, and this blogger passes on the "Smitten Kitchen Best Yellow Layer Cake" recipe. And check out the mouthwatering photos! Click to try it out!

Banana bread: "So my husband is a celebrity dog trainer, I love saying that cause it's true and sounds pretty neat. He also is the

world's best banana bread baker. It is true and let me prove it to you with his extra secret Banana Bread recipe." And if the commenter's ravings are any indication, this is great stuff!

Mailing cookies: OK, so technically this isn't a "best" recipe or really even a recipe at all. Instead it's instructions on "How to mail cookies" to a missionary. It's not only good information, but it will make you the "best" mom/dad/sibling/aunt/uncle/grandpa/grandma/neighbor etc., to the missionary recipient. Fun!

Now let's cook up other tasty blogs from this last week in the Bloggernacle:

Power pick: Congratulations to the BYU Virtual Tours for winning a 2010 Silver Telly Award for its production of "The Mormon Tabernacle" for the "Hallowed Ground Sacred Journeys" series. Producer and director John Starrs explains that "It's nice to see recognition for an historical, educational and religious production." Wow! What an honor!

Techie tip: You can follow all the "Official LDS Church Twitter Accounts" separately, or as the link explains, you can follow one account that combines them all. Very nice!
