GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (AP) — Some advocates for Wyoming's wild horses are criticizing the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's plan to use helicopters to round up nearly 2,000 of the animals.

The BLM last week released an environmental study of its plan to gather horses from two areas in Sweetwater County.

Patricia Fazio is statewide coordinator for the Wyoming Wild Horse Coalition. She says using helicopters scares the animals and sometimes causes them to hurt themselves.
