SALT LAKE CITY — Three companies will take part in the Wayne Brown Institute's Deal Forum, to be held Aug. 10. The firms are MashWorx, i5 Services and Sensicore.

Each has been taking part in the institute's mentoring program and learning about raising venture capital from business world veterans. At the Deal Forum, representatives of the firms will be questioned by a group of investors with the idea that the companies and the audience will learn more about how to raise funds for a viable company.

In addition to the Wayne Brown Institute, the companies chosen to participate were picked by Zions Bank, USTAR and the Utah Division of Securities.

The forum costs $10 to attend. It will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the University of Utah Officers Club, 150 S. Fort Douglas Blvd., Building 649, Salt Lake City.

Go to www.venturecapital.org to register to attend.
