WEST VALLEY CITY — Police believe they have caught two people wanted in connection with a series of fast-food robberies across Salt Lake County.
The two were known to go into Subway or Arctic Circle restaurants, place an order, and then reach over the counter and grab as much money from the cash register as they could before fleeing, said West Valley Police Sgt. Mike Powell.
No weapons were seen in any of the incidents, he said.
Based on a tip, detectives arrested Michelle Gonzales, 19, and James McGarry, 21, both of Salt Lake City. Both were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of nine counts of robbery.
