Church ads: I've been seeing a lot of online chatter about the "New Church Ads, New Church Website" and found this post to be a thoughtful opinion. For example, "Some, more cynical than I, will think that this is just a way of 'commercializing' the Gospel. I see it as a way of throwing the doors open and letting the world see us as we are." Alzheimer's disease:This post hit home for me — having watched my own grandfather succumb — so I related to the frustrations and fears described in "My Grandmother Has Alzheimer's." This blogger explains that through it all, her grandmother "continues to inspire me. Everyday she meets life with the same sense of humor and light heartedness that she has always had. She really knows how to laugh at herself, and it's an invitation for us to laugh too, because if we couldn't laugh, than we would surely have to cry. And sometimes we do that too." Beautiful.
New album: Mindy Gledhill provides a delightful taste of her upcoming "Anchor Album" set to be released on Aug. 2. She explains, "As part of the festivities, I'm posting my new album, 'Anchor,' for you to preview from now until it releases next week. Just click play on the music player to the right. Thanks for all your support during this time and happy listening." Enjoy!
