Wayne LaMar Bowden, 85, passed away with family by his side at his home in Midvale, Utah on July 27, 2010.He was born on February 11, 1925 in Holladay, Utah to Dewey Sampson and Violet Uella Saville Bowden.
Wayne married Rosanna Gregory on November 9, 1946 in Murray, Utah. They shared 65 wonderful years together.
He worked for Erekson's Dairy as a farmer and for Salt Lake County as a road supervisor.
Wayne was a lifelong horseman. He loved to garden and share his crops with everyone around him and loved spending time with his family, friends and faithful dog, Tip.
Survived by his wife, Rosanna;
children, Michael (Pat) Bowden; Lee (Vickie) Bowden; Jeannie (Rob)
Wager; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother, Keith (Ardonna) Bowden; and dog, Tip.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce Bowden.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 and one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery. www.goffmortuary.com
