Ethel Mae Goodenough Worthen passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2010 in Magna, Utah.She was born November 10, 1924 in Magna, Utaj to Owen A. and Margaret Catten Goodenough. She married Ira Warren Worthen on August 15, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 28, 1952. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as the ward librarian for 30 years. She was active in Relief Society helping with craft projects, including quilting, and she loved to hand embroider and do plastic

canvas.

She leaves behind her husband of 67 years and three children: Dwight (Rebecca) Worthen, Cherie Leishman, and Paula (Vaughn) Barker; brother, Melvin Goodenough; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Glen Leon Worthen; parents, one brother and three sisters.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 South.

Luncheon will follow at the Pleasant Green Ward House, 8739 W. 3000 So., Magna, Utah for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Love Hospice, 1405 W. 2200 So., West Valley City, UT 84119. Ethel always said to send her flowers while she was alive so she could enjoy them and not when she was gone. She will be missed by all.
