BAGHDAD — Iraqi officials say a series of explosions has killed three people and wounded 11 others, including a policeman, in southwestern Baghdad.

Police and hospital officials said first two bombs exploded in a main street of the Baghdad neighborhood of Baiyaa on Tuesday.

When a police patrol arrived minutes later, a third bomb exploded, causing all the casualties. A policeman was among the dead.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
