Robert "Rob" Anderson, 61, of Lava Hot Springs, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. He was born November 6, 1948 at Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Wm Monte Anderson and Beverly Blanke Anderson. He married Rita Koller, Sept. 8, 1976 at Draper, Utah. He was raised and educated in Salt Lake City. He attended Snow
College.
He had lived two years in Spain. Rob and Rita moved to Lava in 1995 to build a home for Rita's parents.
He was a member of the Lava LDS Ward.
Rob was a great volunteer. He had served on the Lava City Council. He loved to work remodeling homes and helping all people.
He was a tool repairman for Black and Decker; and a master craftsman specializing in woodwork.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in England.
Rob is survived by his wife Rita, one son and one daughter and their spouses: Eric and Michele Schnibbe, Salt Lake City, UT. and Tracy and Ken Nielsen, St. George, UT. Also surviving is a grandson, Jesse and six step grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Alan and Cherie Anderson, Salt Lake City, UT; Heber and Tammy Anderson, Highland, UT; Trissa and Wolfgang Peleschka, South Jordan, UT. He was preceded
in death by his parents and father-in-law.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, August 12, at Noon at the Lava Hot Springs LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel and on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to Services. Burial will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
