Barbara M Smith

MAGNA- Our loving mother, grandmother, Barbara M Smith, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family August 11, 2010.She was born March 14, 1928 in Springville, Utah to Willard and Rita Miner. She married Keith S. Smith September 4, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away April 5, 1993 and later she married Deloy Bohne who passed away October 14, 2007.
Barbara was an active member of the LDS church where she fulfilled many callings throughout her life. She was employed at Holy Cross Hospital where she enjoyed a career helping others.
Special thanks to Tina Gardner for her devotion, love and care that she gave to Barbara.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Charles) DeVoogd; son, Kelly (Tina "T"); granddaughters: NiCole (Brady) Leiter, Natalie (Greg) Smith; great-grandchildren: Isaac, Carson, Zaybri, Kolten. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Brent K Smith.
Graveside services will be held
12 noon Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City. Friends may call 6-8 p..m Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna and 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday prior to services.
