LOS ANGELES (AP) — A loaded cement truck was upended when a ramp it was backing up collapsed under its weight in downtown Los Angeles.

City fire spokesman Brian Humphrey says the truck crashed through the pavement Saturday as it inched up toward the roof of a one-story commercial structure in Little Tokyo.

The cab pointed straight up in the air as the truck rested on its rear end.

Its driver was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

Humphrey says about 20 gallons of diesel fuel spilled and about three cubic yards of cement flowed into the business.

The city's Building and Safety Department will supervise the removal of the truck and check the structure for damage.
