SALT LAKE CITY — State health advocates and a panel of national health analysts held a daylong meeting Tuesday to develop strategies to best implement the recently passed Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

A three-person group of health care experts from Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit Families USA shared ideas that other states are employing that might also be useful for Utah.

The meeting was the first of its kind in Utah and was part of a series of similar meetings conducted by Families USA throughout the country.
