Clyde Robert Hemmert, 83, of Richfield, passed away August 14, 2010, in Salt Lake City. Clyde was born July 27, 1927 in St. Charles, Idaho on to Robert Hans and Ida Marie Buttars Hemmert. He served his country in the Navy during World War II and in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

He married Betty Jean Jorgensen in the Salt Lake Temple on April 20, 1949. She preceded him in death June 3, 1987.

He married MaryAnn Fowler in the Manti Temple on January 17, 1998. Clyde is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; children, Janice (Blaine) Wayman, Sandra Hemmert, Eric (Kim) Hemmert and Teresa Hemmert; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd Hemmert, LaVor (Arlene) Hemmert; sister, Arleen (Gene) Johnson and sister-in-law Jennie Hemmert.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Ridgeland LDS Ward Chapel, 4251 South 4800 West, West Valley City. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Ridgeland Ward building and again Saturday beginning at 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, with military rites by the Utah Honors Guard. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
