The latest from Jennifer Lopez leads this look at movies newly released on DVD.
"The Back-Up Plan" (Sony, 2010, PG-13, $28.95). Like Jennifer Aniston and Katherine Heigl, Lopez has an appealing onscreen personality but can't seem to find a decent script, so here we are with yet another crude, foul-mouthed romantic comedy that is woefully unfunny.
Lopez plays a single New Yorker dreaming about Mr. Right but nervous about the ticking of her biological clock. So she opts for artificial insemination, becomes pregnant and, you guessed it, immediately meets that elusive Mr. Right. So she naturally tries to hide her pregnancy, fearful that he won't stick around. (Wouldn't that make him Mr. Wrong?) Frantic but less-than-humorous sitcom-style antics follow.

"The Square" (Sony, 2010; R for violence, language, sex; $24.96). This Australian thriller is a crackerjack modern-day film noir, with all the requisite elements — dark themes, dark lighting, a money-hungry femme fatale seducing a naive wimp, an accidental killing or two, and more unexpected twists than you can count.
A married construction foreman who is cooking the books has an affair with a neighbor who is married to a thug. And when she discovers her husband has a stash of cash, they plot to steal it and run away together. To say things go awry is an understatement.
This first feature from director Nash Edgerton, a stunt coordinator and actor who has five well-respected shorts under his belt, marks him as someone to watch. And don't miss his short film "Spider," a very dark nine-minute comedy that will make you feel guilty about laughing.
Extras: widescreen, deleted scenes, featurettes, short film: "Spider," music video, trailers
"Dorian Gray" (NEM, 2009; R for sex, nudity, violence, drugs; $24.98). This R-rated adaptation of the oft-filmed novel by Oscar Wilde, "The Picture of Dorian Gray," is pure exploitation and strays from the original story in ridiculous ways. Ben Barnes is the title character, with Colin Firth in support (before his recent Oscar nomination). Rent the classic 1945 version instead.
Extras: widescreen, deleted scenes, audio commentary, featurettes, bloopers, photo gallery, trailers
"Addicted to Her Love" (E1, 2009; R for drugs, sex, violence; $24.98). A geeky teen is the new kid in a private school, shunned by the cool kids until they learn he works part-time in a pharmacy. Drugs and sex ensue. Daryl Hannah plays the boy's mother.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever" (Nickelodeon/Paramount, 2009, $16.99). This animated TV movie has the four heroes in a half-shell encountering their counterparts from another dimension after a teleporting mishap.
Extras: full screen
"Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes" (Warner, 2010, $19.98). This new animated featurette (50 minutes) is just what the title suggests. The veteran cat and mouse duo head for London and team up with Holmes and Watson to catch a jewel thief. Droopy the dog also shows up.
