A rare pink katydid crawls in a yard in Springfield Township, Pa., on Wednesday. Katydids are typically green to blend in with foliage, but occasionally one, like this one, will have a mutation that renders it pink. Although the pink coloration may be pleasing to the eye, it makes the bug stand out like a daily special on the menu for birds. This one is now living safely in a terrarium.
