Kristin Erickson has become part of the law firm of Fabian & Clendenin. Erickson has more than 20 years of legal experience and, in her new position, will focus on estate planning and tax law. She previously worked as director of the pro bono Initiative and adjunctive professor at the University of Utah's S. J. Quinney College of Law. Erickson got her law degree from the University of Michigan. Fabian & Clendenin is a Salt Lake City-based law firm that also has offices in Nevada, Ohio and Washington, D.C.

Zions Bank has promoted four individuals who hold senior-level positions to executive vice president positions. These individuals will be part of the 13-member executive management committee at the bank that steers its strategic direction. David Meeks, executive vice president, credit management, is one of the people who was promoted. He supervises 80 employees in the credit management division, which also includes the workout department, other real estate owned, recovery and operations. A banking veteran with 30 years of experience in the industry, Meeks runs a department charged with restructuring problem credit relationships and converting non-performing assets to cash. Lori Chillingworth, vice president, small business banking, supervises small business lending, handles Small Business Administrative loan programs, the woman's financial group and the business resource center. She has 26 years of experience in the industry and has helped Zions Bank retain its rank of being the top SBA lender in Utah and Idaho. Susan Speer, executive vice president, private banking, handles the bank's division that serves clients with annual incomes greater than $300,000 and who have a net worth of $2 million. She has been vice president of the private banking department since she joined Zions Bank in 1997. She also supervises Zions Med, a concierge-style banking service designed for medical professionals. John Stillings, executive vice president, commercial lending, oversees the origination of commercial credit, the handling individual loan portfolios, and development of corporate relationships. Stillings, who began his banking career in 1970, is the person to whom the bank's nine directors of regional credit report. For five years, he was the chief lending officer at Nevada State Bank, which is an affiliate of Zions Bank.

Earl Hurst, a veteran of the health care industry in Utah, has joined Moreton & Co., an insurance, surety, risk management and employee benefits brokerage company. He previously served as president of Utah operations for Humana Inc. Hurst has 30 years of experience in the health and insurance industries and has worked with both start-up and long-standing health care firms. He has experience in sales, marketing, and account and operations management.

Joseph Ware has become the new vice president of international at Nuriche, a position in which he will guide the company's global strategy. He formerly was vice president of operations at the firm. Ware has more than 20 years of network marketing experience with large firms, is fluent in Spanish and English and has considerable experience in Latin American markets, especially Mexico. Ware also is well-versed in technical areas and has supervised cross-functional teams in designing, budgeting and deploying business initiatives for several firms that have proved to be successful ventures. The Utah-based Nuriche produces and sells a line of products designed to provide a natural source of nutrition, vitality, weight loss and endurance.

Matt Thompson has been named as the new executive director of Life Care Center of Bountiful, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. He has 14 years of experience in the licensed nursing home, serving in a variety of roles, including 14 years of administrative work.

Eric Tunbridge, a U.S. Bank branch manager in Logan, has won U.S. Bank's Annual and Top Tier Pinnacle Award. That is the top consumer banking award. He was among the top 1 percent of employees in the country to win the award. Tunbridge works at the U.S. Bank, at 175 E. 442 North, in Logan.

Bob Newman has been hired to head service delivery for Via West, a provider of adaptable colocation and managed service. He will supervise provisioning, business controls, quality assurance, internal systems, customer support and product development. Newman previously worked as general manager of Global Operations and Infrastructure Services for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also has been senior vice president of service delivery at Infocrossing, Inc., and senior vice president of service delivery at (i)Structure.

Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. has appointed Robert Mercer as a member of the board of directors. He will serve as a Class II director and a member of the company's audit committee. The company makes and sells herbal products, natural vitamins and other similar products. It boasts sales in the United States as well as many other countries.

Amy Karren, a leading microbiologist at Nelson Laboratories in Utah, has been elected to a five-year term on one of the Expert Committees of the U.S. Pharmacopeia. That organization sets standards for food and medicine. She will be on the committee that creates and revises drug standards that manufacturers use to create generic versions of drugs once the patent by the original inventing company comes to an end.
