SALT LAKE CITY — Tracy Aviary and the Imagination Place will begin a 10-week "Music Together" series for children on Sept. 16.

"It should be every child's birthright to speak the language of music — including dance or movement within a broader definition of the musical arts," said Darlene Casanova, the co-founder of Imagination Place.

Though the Music Together classes aren't directly related to birds, the aviary seeks opportunities to introduce families to the world of birds.

Classes will be every Thursday until the end of November and will go from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. for children kindergarten age or younger.

All interested parents/caregivers and children are welcome to participate in these nonperformance-oriented music classes. Families will also have free admission to the aviary after each class.
