GREAT FALLS — Pete Budkevics had another stellar performance on the mound to help lift the Ogden Raptors to a 6-3 victory over the Great Falls Voyagers on Friday night.
Budkevics pitched six innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out eight, to pick up his fourth win in five starts for the Raptors. Ogden pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts.
Ogden distanced itself from the Orem Owlz atop the South Division standings. Orem now trails the Raptors by 11/2 games.
MUSTANGS 1, OWLZ 0: At Billings, Orem struggled at the plate and one run was all the Mustangs needed to walk off with the win. Kyle Lotzcar pitched five shutout innings with seven strikeouts, as Billings' pitchers out-dueled Orem's own strong performance on the mound. The Owlz did not have a single base runner advance into scoring position.
