Margaret Cockett Hadden passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at home at the age of 90.She was born September 14, 1919 in Beaver, Utah, a daughter of Ella Hutchings Cockett and George Henry Cockett. She married her sweetheart Coe C. Hadden December 29, 1940 in Long Beach, CA. Margaret worked for the USU Extension Service for 22 years. She loved to knit and crochet and was very proficient at tatting. She had a green thumb and flowers were her passion, especially her roses. Her family was her greatest joy and the center of her life. Over the years she held various positions in her ward and made many articles for charity. She is survived by her children Joyce H. Steed (Sherman), Littleton, CO; Donald E. Hadden, Sandy, Utah; Claudette H. Evans (James), Farmington, Utah; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Barbara Gentemann. She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers Ted and Louis Cockett and daughter-in-law Wan Kei Hadden. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 N. Main St. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Monday, August 30, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. at the Rock Chapel prior to services. Interment Farmington City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in behalf of great-granddaughter Stella.
