Zella Jean Ault Hubbard was released from this life on August 27 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer, during which she was lovingly cared for by her sweetheart of 54 years. She was born May 20, 1937 in Logan, Utah, to Wesley and Zella Thurston Ault. She married Reed J. Hubbard in the Logan Temple on March 2, 1956 and soon after moved to Bountiful, where they have lived for 50 years. She worked at Mountain Bell and later Qwest, where she retired after 23 years. Jean is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many callings over the years, including Primary, Young Women's, Relief Society, and most recently ward choir. She has a strong pioneer heritage and was happily involved with the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. In 1998 to 2000, together with Reed, she served in the Australia Adelaide mission. Also with Reed she enjoyed many years of fun and friends in the Rainbow Squares square dancing club and the Good Sam service and recreation club. She was well known by friends and acquaintances for her cheerful attitude, loving service, cards, letters, pick-me-up gifts, and fun sense of humor - all of which remained intact until the end of her life. Jean is survived by her husband Reed, a brother G. Wesley (Renee) Ault, and children Curtis (Wendy) Hubbard, Lorri (Dan) Wotherspoon. She was also greatly loved by seven grandchildren, Devin (Leslie) Hubbard, Megan Hubbard, Nicole (Brady) Hubbard-Jensen, Kirsten Hubbard, Colton Hubbard, Alex Wotherspoon, and Hope Wotherspoon, and two great-grand daughters, Bentley Jensen and Makayla Hubbard.
