SALT LAKE CITY — The Women Tech Council has announced 14 finalists for its third annual Women Tech Awards.
The program recognizes technology-focused women who are driving innovation, leading technology companies and are key contributors to the community. An awards luncheon will take place Sept. 16 at the Grand America Hotel.
"These 14 finalists are remarkable examples of the talented women in technology," Cydni Tetro, the council's director, said in a news release. "We are pleased to honor them as they excel in their endeavors throughout various industries."
Finalists are Padma Allen of Technodyne, Christine M. Archibald of ManagementPlus, Carol Campbell of ATK, Carol Fineagan of EnergySolutions, Sarah B. Hiza of ATK, Chiao-ih Hui of L-3 Communications, Laura Hunter of the Utah Education Network, Laura Nelson of Red Leaf Resources, Fran Maier of TRUSTe, Linda Muir of Westminster College, Julie Simmons of MarketStar, Melain Terry of Novell, Christine Williams of Western Governors University and Suzanne Winters of BioInnovations Gateway.
Five award recipients will be selected by a committee from the technology industry, venture, government and professional communities, according to the news release. For more information, visit www.womentechcouncil.org.
