COLORADO SPRINGS — Jay Payton knocked home the game winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox edged the Salt Lake Bees 10-9 on Sunday afternoon. Three walks issued by Salt Lake reliever Ysmael Carmona (0-1) loaded the bases with one out. Carmona struck out Cole Garner but heaved a wild pitch on his first delivery to Payton to bring home the tying run. With a count of 3-2, Payton then grounded a single to center to bring home the deciding run as the Sky Sox took their first lead of the game.
