Adelido Lucero passed away peacefully at home on the 28th of August 2010.He lived a long life, full of challenges that he met head-on. He was born on May 18th, 1939 in Durango, CO to Eufresia (Abeyta) and Lucas Lucero. He grew up in Dragerton, UT with a sister and three brothers. He married Gloria Saldivar on July 21st, 1962 at St. Therese's Parish, where he was a lifelong member. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; three sons- Frank Rey, Layne Adelido and his children, Gregory, Montana, and KoriAnne and their mother- MaryAnn Wiltfong; Daniel Vidal and his sons, Michael, Steven and his son, Steven Jr.; grandkids, Rachel, Serenity, Amy; also survived by his sister, Mary Howell; and brother, Lucas; also many brothers and sisters- in-law, nieces and nephews who he loved as his own. Preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Domingo and Rudy Lucero. He worked at a variety of jobs to provide for his family, and made many friends. Though he suffered from many ailments he retained his true personality to the end. A special thanks to Dr. Barbara Rizzardi and her staff, they helped him to stay with us for an extra 25 years. At his request, please dress casually and no flowers. A Mass of Resurrection will be said Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 West Lennox St (7825 South), Midvale, Utah. A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State on Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. with a family tribute at 7:30 p.m. The tribute will be followed by a Rosary and Vigil Service starting at 8:00 p.m. A viewing will also be held Thursday at St. Therese Catholic Church from 10-11:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
