WENDOVER, Nev. — Provo's Roy Christensen won the Utah Senior Open championship with a 138 total at Toana Vista Golf Course after shooting his second consecutive 69 on Thursday.
Despite a double-bogey on the final hole, Christensen won by four shots over Stansbury Park pro Jeff Green, who had his second straight 71. Davis Park pro Brad Stone was third at 143, followed by first-round leader Jimmy Blair, who shot a second-round 76 to finish at 144.
Midway's Bill Probst won the senior amateur flight with a two-day total of 145, one shot ahead of St. George's Mike Hacker. David Fischer took net honors with a 36-hole score of 144.
Sandy's Robert Rudd won the Super Senior professional flight at 142, two strokes ahead of Kean Ridd. Al Simkins won the Super Senior amateur flight at 150, two shots ahead of Dick Peacock.
