CASPER — Ogden outfielder Nick Akins went a perfect 4-for-4 from the plate, including two home runs and a double, to lead the Raptors to a 6-0 win over the Ghosts.
Akins' offensive production was more than enough for Red Patterson, who threw six shutout innings to improve his record to 5-0 this season. The right-hander struck out three and allowed only three hits.
IDAHO FALLS 8, OREM 6 (12 INNINGS): Kevin David went 4-for-6 with a homer and a double as the Chukars pulled out the win in 12 innings. Jake Rife went 4-for-5 with two runs scored for the Owlz, who scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game.
