WASHINGTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration is accepting grant applications for the new Small Business Teaming Pilot program from "well established" national organizations interested in providing training, guidance, counseling, mentoring and procurement assistance to small businesses.
The Business Administration said organizations eligible for the grants must be private, have existed continually for the past three years, have experience dealing with issues relating to small business on a national level and demonstrate capacity to provide assistance to small businesses.
Under the pilot program, the Business Administration expects to award 10-20 grants from $250,000 to $500,000 for the 2011 fiscal year.
Proposals must be submitted electronically via the government-wide assistance portal www.grants.gov no later than Feb. 25, 2011.
