SALT LAKE CITY — Paul Millsap is back.

The power forward practiced again Saturday with the Utah Jazz for the second day in a row after being sidelined for about a week with right quadriceps tendinitis.

Officially listed as day-to-day, Millsap said he is back to "full speed." He didn't experience soreness after his return to practice Friday.

"I tried to do a lot of movements that I felt like I'd be doing in the course of a real game," he said. "Everything went good. … Ready to roll."

It's good timing for Millsap's return, especially considering the Jazz traded away center Mehmet Okur on Thursday. Millsap gives the Jazz one more interior weapon for Tuesday's season-opener at the Los Angeles Lakers.

For precautionary measures, Millsap sat out both preseason games and missed the team's intrasquad scrimmage. Millsap only missed 12 games in his first five NBA seasons.

"He looked really good. I think he's healed completely," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "He ran really well yesterday and he was happy to be back on the floor and we were happy to have him."
