Ross Burningham1920 ~ 2011Lorin Ross Burningham, 91, passed away on December 19, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ross was born on March 30, 1920 in Provo, Utah to Clarence William and Josephine Edna Reynolds Burningham. He married Dorothy Merl Bennion on July 31, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away on February 7, 1983. He married June Swanson Bennion on October 19, 1983 in Murray, Utah. Ross served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He owned and operated Ross's Garage in Midvale for many years and worked at the Tooele Army Depot. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. Ross was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. Survived by his wife, June; children, David (Diane) Burningham; Karen (Sid) Smart; Janice (Tenney) Clawson; son in law, David Leak; June's children, Carol (Larry) Richardson; Robert (Sandy) Bennion; Jim (Margaret) Bennion; Gary (Karol) Bennion; 25 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; sister, Zetha (Russ) Parker; brother, Richard (Lois) Burningham. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy; daughter, Merlene Leak; 9 siblings. In lieu of flowers and to honor Dad's generosity, please donate to the LDS Humanitarian or Education Funds. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the East Midvale 1st Ward, 7570 South 240 East. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S.
