Margaret Joyce Giles1935 ~ 2011Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Margaret Joyce Ferguson Giles, returned home to her Father in Heaven and to her daughter Dianna Lee on Monday, December 19th, 2011 surrounded by her husband and her children. She was born on Sunday, April 28th, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clemon Emerson and Lucile Marcusen Ferguson. She graduated from South High School and attended the University of Utah. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple to her high school sweetheart, Keith L. Giles on Thursday, January 6th, 1955. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life. She held many responsible positions staring at the age of thirteen teaching in the Junior Sunday School. She held the following responsible positions; Junior Sunday School Coordinator, Primary President on several occasions; Relief Society President, and many other positions. She was a wonderful teacher and her love of music she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, reading anything she could get her hands on. In addition to her work in the church she spent a number of years as a Volunteer in the Gift Shop and Primary Children's Medical Center. She loved musicals and the arts, and was always encouraging her children and grandchildren to strive to always do their best. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband and best friend, Keith (known as "Zeke") and her children David Allen (Lori) and Teri Lucile (Terry) Fuessel and five grandchildren and their spouses. She will also be greeted on the other side by her daughter Dianna Lee Giles; she is preceded in death by two brothers, Scott and Kent Ferguson and her mother and father as well as her grandparents. We would like to thank the staff of IHC Central Dialysis Center for showing her such love and care for the past six and a half years and the staff of IHC Hospice Services for their compassion and help. A private family funeral service for Joyce Giles will be held. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, on Tuesday, December 27th, 2011 from 10:00AM-10:45AM. Please, no flowers, but donations can be made in Joyce's name to Primary Medical Center.
