Lyle H. Saxton1919 ~ 2011Smithfield, UtahLyle Herbert Saxton, 92, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Pioneer Valley Lodge in North Logan. He was born August 9, 1919 in Providence, Utah to Herbert and Margaret Bullock Saxton.He married Amy Beth "Bette' Whitt on June 18, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had five children, Bob, MaryAnn, Randy, Jeff & Autumn.He served in World War II with the Navy (SeaBees) unit doing all kinds of construction for the troops in Hawaii and the South Pacific. He was a contractor providing jobs for many people.He took care of Bette at their home in Smithfield until she died of cancer on October 23, 1993.On October 15, 1994 he married Beth Bott Balling Neuberger. He was preceded in death by his parents and stillborn baby brother; his brother Jim and wife Jean and their daughter Teresa; his brother Dale and his wife Eva Dean and their daughter Tina and other extended family. Also by his wife, Bette and daughter Autumn and daughter-in-law Jeanine.He is survived by his wife, Beth; four children; grandchildren and great grandchildren.The family would like to thank the following: Dr. V. Duane Bohman; Dr. Steven Salisbury; Dr. Kwan; Dr. Jon A. Siler and respective staffs and Integrity Home Health & Hospice; Heart & Hands and Pioneer Valley Lodge and respective staffs for the many hours of care given. And also for family and friends from both sides for their care and help and especially Beth for her many years of devotion to Lyle and all of us.We love you.Funeral services will at 12 Noon, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Smithfield Stake Center, 120 South 600 East. A viewing will be held on Monday evening December 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 85 South Main Street, Smithfield and at the Stake Center on Tuesday prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Smithfield Cemetery with military honors by the Smithfield American Legion Post #58.Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com
