Children’s photos: When I write “Children’s Photos in The Friend," you likely think that this post is about sweet photos of children displayed in The Friend magazine. That’s close, but in actuality, this post describes how The Friend is calling children photographers to plaster the back cover of the magazine with their photos. How cool is that? As Larry Richman says, “The church is looking forward to seeing the gospel in action through children’s eyes!” Click in for all the information (including email addresses and the parental permission notice).

LDS Newsroom: If you frequent Google+ then be sure to add the LDS Newsroom to your circles. Or even if you don’t, Google+ is definitely worth adding to your life, and then add the LDS Newsroom to your circles.

BYUtv review: After sports blogger Nick Fasulo watched the BYU-Baylor game online, he had some glowing words for BYUtv: “With the line between TV and Internet quickly becoming blurred, the way we consume media will probably look almost entirely different sooner than many think. BYUtv, at least in the world of college athletics, appears to be ahead of the curve in this new movement.” Click in to see what else he says.

Keep Christmas: I thought this was a timely reminder on this day after Christmas from the LDS Newsroom about “Keeping the Spirit of Christmas Throughout the Year.” Here is a snippet: “President Monson has also taught that Latter-day Saints can have the spirit of Christmas with them long after the tree is taken down by choosing to serve others. …. ‘The spirit of Christmas is something I hope all of us would have within our hearts and within our lives, not only at this particular season, but throughout the years.’” Lovely!
