OGDEN — A man in his 30s was transported to the hospital in critical condition Tuesday after he was found with multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Officers were called to 361 Ogden Ave. around 7 a.m. on reports of a stabbing, said Ogden Police Lt. Shawn Hamblin. They found a white man who had been stabbed multiple times in the torso and had a "slashing type" injury to his ear.
The man was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital in critical condition and was expected to undergo surgery. Hamblin said the man likely will recover from his injuries.
"The case remains under investigation," Hamblin said. "No arrests have been made. Detectives are working the case (and are) still trying to determine what happened, where the stabbing occurred and why and what led us to that address."
He said there is a possibility the man sustained the injuries at a different location before being dropped off at the address where he was found. The man was conscious when he was transported, though, and was able to talk to police at the hospital.
