Diane N. Hill"Loving Mother & Nana"Diane Nancy Graves Hill, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died December 26, 2011, surrounded by the Love of her children and grandchildren.Born to Harvey H. and Margaret M. Graves in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the older of two daughters. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and younger sister, Janet.Diane spent her childhood years living in Burbank, California with her family. They all enjoyed summering at Treasure Island in Laguna Beach. She attended the University of Southern California. She started her own family in Southern California. They resided in Sylmar, until 1969, when they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.Diane was employed by and retired from the University of Utah Hospital. She held many positions working her way up the ranks until she attained her final accomplishment as an Executive Assistant for a Service Director. After retirement, Diane spent time volunteering for the local elementary school.Diane loved the peace of lying next to the ocean or the serenity of a crystal blue stream, up the canyons of the mountains that was her backyard. She was an avid reader, a gardener, and dabbler of the arts. She was an accomplished woman, of independent means.She is survived by her children; Michael (Peggy) Hill, Sheryl Lynn Hill, Dawn (Robert) Kladianos, Tim (Sherry Ann) Hill, and Laurel (Alan) Lowe. Grandchildren: Mychol, Colby, Chris, Sarah, Trisha, Jeantelle, Travis, Kailani, and Makela, and many great grandchildren. Also survived by her loving step-mother Melba Graves.Viewing and family greeting will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011, 6:00 8:00 p.m., also Thursday, December 29th, 2011, one hour prior to the service to celebrate her life.
