Elaine Hintze Franklin"Together Again"Erma Elaine Hintze Franklin, age 91, passed away peacefully December 21, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was born September 11, 1920 to Conrad Hintze and Alberta Keller Hintze in Salt Lake City, Utah.She was a lifelong East Millcreek resident. She was married in the Salt Lake City Temple to Howard Jefferson Franklin on June 27, 1940. A member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Alva Keller Camp. Elaine belonged to the Silver Spurs riding club. She retired from Abbott Critical Care in 1999.Elaine is survived by her children, Ben (Eleen) Franklin, Cary J. (Pat) Franklin, Ann (Tom) Stassi, Kathleen (Michael) Cooper; grandchildren, Russel, Jodi, Mindi, KariAnn, TeriAnn, Tommy, Tammy, Terry, Jerry; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Alberta Hintze; husband, Howard; brothers, Ralph and Julian Hintze; and a grandson, Jeffrey Franklin.Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View 1st Ward, 2245 East 3900 South. Friends can visit with the family Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens.
