Vivien Briggs Wright1930 - 2011Vivien Briggs Wright, our sweet and beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend returned home to our Heavenly Father on December 24th, 2011. Vivien was born August 10th, 1930 in Park City, Utah to Jesse Robert Briggs and Dorothy May Bennett Briggs Newton. While living in Salt Lake City, she met her sweetheart, Paul LeMar Wright, they were sealed together for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple January 15th, 1948. Mom served in many church callings throughout her life and was especially grateful for the opportunity she and dad had to serve as missionaries in the Atlanta, Georgia, Inner City Mission. One of mom's greatest accomplishments was obtaining her nursing degree at the age of 44 and spending the next 20+ years at the University of Utah Hospital, and Home Health/Hospice Care in Salt Lake City. She was an angel of mercy to all who crossed her path. Her ability to heal a broken heart or a broken body was such a Christ like attribute that mom was blessed with and gave of freely up until her final days. Her lasting legacy will forever be her charitable actions and service to her loved ones and those in need. She loved driving up to the mountains or spending the day digging her toes in the sand while baking in the sun at the beach. She loved all of nature and had a special place in her heart for all animals. Her greatest joy was her family, and her famous Sunday dinners will forever be remembered and missed. Mom was preceded in death by her four sweet children; Paula, Mary, Dorothy and Michael, her parents, her beloved stepfather, Dougie Newton, her sisters, LaRue Abel, and Bobbie Adams. She is survived by her sister Nita Wright, her sweetheart Paul and their 9 remaining children, Marsha Harvey (Dave), Wayne Wright (Charlene), David Wright (Nalene), Ruthann Perdue (Norman), Bryan Wright (Carla), Rebecca Azera (Candido), Teresa Warren (Ed), Paul B Wright (Heidi), Elizabeth Cassita as well as 41 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29th at the Bennion 6th Ward chapel, 2700 West 5600 South, Taylorsville, Utah. There will be a viewing from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon prior to the memorial services which will begin at noon. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Murray, Utah. Our heartfelt thanks to the owners and staff of the CountryCare Homes, and LightHouse Hospice Service for their tender loving care given during mom's last days.
