Jerry Blain Madsen1941 ~ 2011Jerry Blain Madsen, after successfully battling diabetes for 50 years, passed away from heart failure on December 26, 2011. Born November 8, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sally Mines Madsen, his children Cindy Nigbur (Ken), Lance Madsen (Coleen), Hollie Sprunt (Matt), Jennifer Nielson (Jason), Brook Madsen (Jessica), Rod Madsen (Jessica) and 23 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter Lori and his parents Blain & Miriam Madsen. He was a devoted husband and father, who was involved in all of his children's activities, including coaching his sons for 18 years. He retired from Intermountain Health Care after 40 years of service. He held various callings in the LDS Church, particularly enjoying his association with the youth. He and his wife served a full time mission in the Los Angeles Family History Center. His presence will be greatly missed.The family would like to express their thanks to Liberty Dialysis for the care given to him.
